Gujarat Police Selection Process

Gujarat Police SI and Constable Recruitment 2024 Selection Procedure follows successive stages as shown below. Candidates have to qualify in each stage to appear in the next stage(s) of the selection process.

1. Written Examination: The examination process for the position of Unarmed Police Sub Inspector encompasses a written test divided into two segments – an Objective type and a Descriptive type, collectively bearing a maximum score of 300. Meanwhile, applicants vying for the roles of Constable & Jail Sepoy will face a dual-part examination, namely Part A and Part B. This component is structured to include 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), summing up to 200 marks. Participants are allocated a timeframe of 3 hours, equivalent to 180 minutes, to answer all questions across both segments meticulously.
2. Physical Test: In the Physical Standards Test, participant measurements include height, chest circumference (for males) and weight to determine eligibility. Successful individuals then progress to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), where their physical capabilities are evaluated through activities like sprinting, broad jump, and vertical leap, among others, to gauge their overall physical condition. It’s important to note that the specific criteria for these assessments can differ depending on the role being sought.
3. Document Verification: Candidates who have been selected in the earlier rounds are invited to participate in a document verification process. During this stage, they are required to produce their original documents to confirm their eligibility, educational credentials, age, and category, among other criteria.
4. Medical Fitness Test: Individuals who successfully pass the written test and validate their documents are subject to a health check-up. This step is crucial to ascertain if they conform to the health criteria specified for the position.
